Are you a colour cat or a mono man? I am both.
Spring has sprung and I have just emerged from under my winter stone and out of hibernation / reflection.
The upshot is a short period of creative gay abandon, colour overload and paintings of crowds of people who have been let out out of the house. Frolicking around my canvases like like cows let loose from the cowshed.

As I have matured, I have become more creatively disinhibited (is that a word?). This manifests itself as paintings of frenetic crowds in garish colours. And I just love it. Is it proper, serious art? Maybe not, but I do love making them and I know some of you lovely people love them too.
Conversely, I also love creating my sublime landscapes on the dark side. The elemental drama that emerges from stark white canvases as I expressively apply my beloved Paynes Grey paint without a care in the world.
It is such a cathartic experience as an artist when you get into the zone and lose yourself in a landscape that came out of the ether and landed on the canvas. It's not easy, but it is so satisfying to be part of a process involving the simple juxtaposition of paint physics and mental stimulation. I hope that makes sense and isn't too arty farty.

So here I am. Black and white and full of colour. My paintings say it all really.
I would love to know if you are a cat for colour or a mono man (person). Political correctness does get in the way of my love of alliteration.
