What if paintings refused to stay still?
Gallery walls can feel like a holding cell for ideas. Paintings hang there — static, polite, frozen in the moment they were made. Exhibitionist Paintings is a rebellion against all of that.
The concept is simple and slightly mad: a painting of paintings, exploding colour into a gallery interior in real time. An impression of art breaking free — colour detonating off the canvas, filling the room, refusing to be contained.
The closest thing Neil has seen to this kind of raw, explosive energy in a gallery space was Anish Kapoor's wax cannon at the Royal Academy. The audacity of it was breathtaking. Exhibitionist Paintings channels that same spirit — without the congealed blood red.
Pow.
For now, the explosion is frozen on canvas. But it doesn't feel that way.
