A celebration of Yorkshire art through the eyes of one artist.
The eclectic mix of styles in this Yorkshire art collection is testament to the diversity of the Yorkshire landscape and built environments.
Historically Yorkshire was divided into three Ridings and the Ainsty of York. The Ridings; North, East and West are of Viking origin. York city was independent of these three Ridings. In 1974 the Ridings were abolished York was absorbed into North Yorkshire. There have been many boundary changes since but many older Yorkshire people still traditionally refer to the original Ridings.
McBride's Yorkshire art is influenced by the landscape and built environments of York, Richmond in the north, the east coast and, of course, the Yorkshire people.
Unlike many of his contemporaries, Neil McBride is not afraid to plough his own furrow and 'dig' Yorkshire in an intuitive way without fear or convention.
You will find everything here to satisfy your love of Yorkshire art and the art of Yorkshire in the form of original paintings and art prints.
